TAIPEI, Taiwan - Japan has taken over the world's attention by receiving the flag of Olympic. Now the entire world are watching its following up after an astonishing introduction performance in Rio. Recently, Japan launched its first wave of dissemination by introducing its green gold medal plan which is an achievement of urban mining.

Urban mining is a concept of clustering precious metals from e-waste in the urban area, which is been considered one of the most important industries in the future, where there is an enormous amount of e-waste been producing every day.

Though, urban mining is a very good idea of transforming e-waste into something good and useful, but the method been used in recycling these precious metals is not good for people and environment.

The traditional way to abstract precious metals like gold, silver and copper from e-waste is burning, where toxic gases and particulates will be produced. Furthermore, the cyanide is being used in the purification process of metallic compounds after burning, that is extremely harmful to human body and soil.

So, to pursuit the highest level of achievement in the green city development, all precious-metal-related products should use pure green materials which its source and process are all in line with the principles of creating environmental sustainability.

Currently, there are few companies in the world provide green solutions to gather precious metals from e-waste in terms of process and materials, and UWin Nanotech is one of them. This Taiwan based company not only provides cyanide-free green solutions to collect gold and silver form e-waste with very high efficiency rate, but also established a subsidiary named “ GoldenShine Eco-tech” to cultivate the culture of using green silver and gold recently.

These pioneers give the world a chance to recover the deteriorating earth, and the world should praise them. And Japan just zoom in this issue by introducing the idea of using green gold medals for Olympic competition, however the country is still the first one to aware this problem and highlight it in the world stage.
